Lovely This can lean more of a lime green with 1-3 coats, if you want more of a light army green I recommend 4-7 coats. Pic attached is after 7 very thin coats. I'm going to try layering this on top of 'dear johnny green' from the same brand next time for a darker olive green. Reminds me of a lime non-matte version of OPI 'what wizardry is this' which is one of my all time favorite nail polishes. I do wish it was slightly more opaque, but it just takes more layers to apply is all.EDIT: Just as an update I had a second attempt at this polish and was able to reach full opacity with two coats (see pictures of me with longer nails) by taking a clean makeup sponge, applying the gel directly on to the sponge and then dabbing it onto my nails. Yes, it gets a little messy as you can see in my pic but I could have done a better job at cleaning up before curing. You can also use a liquid latex barrier to prevent it from getting onto your skin. Just peel it off before curing. Have fun! 4I'm done with this clumping mess but found an identical gel color This dries up and clumps, becoming useless in a matter of months. If it is all you wear, then it might be worth it. I have bought three bottles, used each twice, and I'm done. I am going to Pink Gellac's color called Rockstar Red. You can buy it here or on the Chickettes.com website. It looks identical to Good Gossip. I love the Pink Gellac product even better than Gelish.Update with replacement color: I have found that Pink Gellac has a color called "Flashy Red" that is identical, maybe even prettier, than Good Gossip. You can now buy it on Amazon. It's the real deal, unlike Good Gossip which I think is a counterfeit being carried on Amazon. 1Cherry berry is beautiful!!! The berry is a beautiful color and went on really easily without "shrinking". Three coats. 5Beautiful, durable wear, very intense! **If you are new to Gelish or gel nails, or need some tips, see this review:http://www.amazon.com/review/R3VWRFDI073BON/ref=cm_cr_pr_viewpnt#R3VWRFDI073BON=====================Good Gossip: wow. Someone else mentioned "Ruby Slippers" and that's pretty accurate! It also reminded me of a candy apple Camaro I once saw at a car show, with a glitter clearcoat. Or (I cringe to say it) a fiberglas speedboat we saw at a fancy boat show once; let's face it, this color is HOT. If you want to be noticed, you pick this color! This is "Pimp My Nails"! I have a ton of Gelish polish and must admit that right now, "Good Gossip" has to be right up there in my top five favorites.Good Gossip is a nice, cool-based red. I have pale skin that tends towards pinkness, and the wrong undertone just looks BAD on me. With this color being so screamingly-obvious in its glittyness, it would be hard to forgive if it were so flashy AND the wrong tone. I think this color would be universally flattering on anyone. It's just so deep and vivid! I have worn this to work for over a week now and several people have noticed this color and commented. Not just, "Oh that's pretty". I have been asked where I had my acrylics done (they are my own nails), what salon did I get this color from, etc. I think if you worked in a demure professional office setting (or for someplace that has a strict dress code), you *probably* would not consider this an ok color to wear to work. If you work for yourself, who's going to care?As a pedicure color, I almost swooned with it's perfection. When carefully applied (again it showcases every painting mistake!) this color made my toes look as if I spent a ton of money at a salon! The effect on toes is (of course) different than on your hands. I can see this color looking amazing with black sandals, or just about anything else. It's not just a flat red, but so much more. I LOVE IT and this may be my new favorite pedicure color. My feet never see daylight, they are as albino as the rest of me, and for a color to look good and not garish on them is really something. Two coats is enough to give you a solid color, but three coats is where this truly stands out. After trial and error with this color, my advice would be to use your first two coats just laying a good foundation (think thin, of course) and concentrating on the tips/ends, because that's where the wear really stands out. And then, use your third color coat, to make it pretty. Use that last color coat to get the edges, the sides, the top, because this color WILL showcase any area you miss, or any crooked strokes. Every missed area just stands out and draws attention. When you have all ten fingers done and hold them out, you'll see in a hurry where you messed up! With three coats, the depth of this color is at its optimum.APPLICATION TIP FOR LED LIGHT: I have an 18w LED light, and had to up my time with this color. My first application netted me a few peeling nails, as in: I looked down and they were just gone, popped off like a whole fake nail. But, there was wet residue left behind. It appeared that my usual timing for LED/Gelish wasn't enough and I had uncured polish. So my routine with Good Gossip is: 30 seconds base coat, 60 seconds coats 1 and 2, 90 seconds coat 3, and 90 seconds top coat. With that combination I am on day 10 of wear with no problems. It still looks as stunning as it did on the first day.*This is a great overcoat color! Try two layers of a black base, and one layer of this on top for a deeper look. 5Great Color, Nightmare Application Allow me to walk you through the 7 coats of hell I went through to get the final results... I use a 24w LED lamp and have never had any issues. First 2 layers down looked terrible. Polish was wrinkling, as if it wasn t fully curing. It was clumping, leaving bumps and divots- not cute! God forbid you tilt your hand half a second, flooding was inevitable. Being a perfectionist, I file out imperfections and usually add an extra coat or two of color.. I filed, added coats 3 and 4, curing for 60 seconds (double the recommended time) and it looked better but I had to file down imperfections again. This time, when I filed, the polish was crumbling off! Never seen that before. I did my best to smooth it out and added coats 5 and 6.. believe it or not, the polish still wasn t as opaque as I would like, leading me to the final 7th coat. Now to see how long the polish lasts... 2There are a couple of good things to say about this product so I will ... There are a couple of good things to say about this product so I will start with that. Its a beautiful sparkly red color, not too bright and not dull by any means. It goes on smoothly and lasts for a couple of weeks, just like other shellac products. Now, on to the negative. I have had it for only 9 months and store it the exact same as all of my other shellac products-closed tightly and in a cool dark spot, which really I don't think that storage issues are the case with how clumpy, dried out, separated and unmanageable this particular bottle of shellac has gotten, and this bottle has gotten disgusting. I messaged the seller and she basically implied that they don't have a long shelf life and that its probably my fault for leaving it too open (uh. wouldn't it have spilled out some and gotten all over? probably. Its more than 3/4 of the way full, so just stop seller person. Plus its completely separated like normal polish would do so air getting in is most definitely not the issue.) and she suggested I try other brands instead. What? Then why are you selling this particular brand? Um, no. Not acceptable and I will never buy from this seller again as I also have had some issues with my CND base and top coat getting thick and bubbly as well. It is sold by SalonDeal so I would suggest that you really use caution buying from this seller. 2Different than the picture I received the right color, but the bottle is not what was displayed. If I knew the polish was in a different bottle other than the picture displayed I would not have purchased it. 1My favorite royal blue color! Very pretty glittery blue that covers in two coats and stays on well. After it grew out I sponged Vegas Nights to cover the growth for addition wear. 5YUMMY!!! Have to say, the color does not look AT ALL like the orange color pictured. Instead, it is a very soft nude/pink that is simply luscious. I get compliments on it all the time, even from the clerk at the drive-up window at my pharmacy. A perfect opaque color for every day, or, with perhaps a top coat of something a little glittery, for special occasions too. 5Gorgeous neutral! I love this color. It is a great neutral for those with darker skin. I have been looking for a nice, opaque, neutral that did not have a pink tint. This color is like a creamy coffee. It has a clean, professional appearance. Beautiful! 5
